Our September brokerage meeting was another great chance to come together and share our challenges and wins from the last month. We started out the meeting with Josh Jardin from Brass Lending.

Josh reported that rates are projected to drop in the next 4-6 months. He also emphasized the importance of talking your clients through their monthly payments and not focusing too much on the rate. In the long run, the rate can change through a refinance. Looking at the bottom line–the monthly payments–will give them the best idea of what is and isn’t practical when shopping for houses and loans.

Our CEO Simon Thomas talked about keeping a healthy mentality when it comes to working in a tough real estate market where inventory is low and housing prices are high. Keeping your head down and working and trying not to get caught up in a negative mindset.

Please help us congratulate our monthly brokerage winners below:

Our Big Wave winner is peer-nominated by agents and staff. This month the award was given to DOBI agent Carolyn Gentry. She’s a new agent on the scene and she’s definitely made an impression! Specifically, she’s been working a lot of open houses for DOBI agents. We appreciate you, Carolyn!

Best in Class is given to the DOBI staff member representing our core values, peer-nominated by fellow agents and staff. This month our winner goes to Meg Herbst in our marketing department. She’s been doing a fantastic job with our recent DOBI brand refresh and has helped a lot of different departments out with various graphic design projects. Keep up the great work, Meg!

Our Broker’s Choice award is nominated to the agent who has made a difference that month and caught our broker’s eye. This month, the broker’s choice award went to Alex Boles. Alex had 1 listing under contract and 3 pending deals in August. We see you, Alex!

Our Grit Award winner, given to the agent(s) with the most units sold, was Brooke Azimi. She had 5 units closed in the month of August. Congratulations Brooke!
