August Brokerage Award Winners It’s a Process, Embrace It September 8, 2022 By Happy September! We are SO close to fall and we are excited for the shift in seasons here at DOBI. We’re all about energy here, and this month’s meeting was full of positive vibes. We kicked off the meeting with Jon Aucott, from Superior National Bank. He shared that the fluctuation of interest rates provides great talking points for your clients. Last Monday rates sat right around 5%, while this week they’ve gone up to around 6%. But, this shouldn’t cause a panic. The Fed said they will raise rates regardless of inflation. If we do enter into a recession, Jon said rest assured because the only way out is to lower rates. DOBI CEO, Simon Thomas, shared the importance of watching the market, especially as we head into Q4. We are seeing more listings hit the market, days on market going up and a drop in realtors in the industry. He also stressed the importance of newer agents learning from agents who have been in the business longer, to learn negotiation skills. Simon also talked a lot about growth- both personally and professionally by being able to embrace the process. It’s crucial to always be thinking what can be next. 3 thing to take away from that: stop comparing yourself to others, there are no short cuts, and never stop. Our Top Dog this month, for the individual with the most units sold goes to Jessica Stencel! Last month, she closed 3 units at $4.3 million- all with a new baby at home!
