Day on the Town: Saturday, July 30, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Birmingham Farmers Market: 20TH Celebration Sunday AUGUST 7 from 9:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m.

The Birmingham Farmers Market is held every Sunday from May 1 until October 30, and this year they are celebrating their 20th Anniversary! On October 7, head to the Birmingham Shopping District in Parking Lot #6 to celebrate the Farmers Market’s 20th season with tons of fun for all ages!

Nestled in the heart of downtown Birmingham, the Birmingham Farmers Market is an outdoor market featuring Michigan-grown produce, meat and dairy, floral arrangements, plants, artisan goods and more. The market is open every Sunday, May 1 through October 30. Enjoy the welcoming atmosphere with live music, food trucks, kids’ activities and special events. Nearby parks, eateries and shopping make it the perfect place to spend a Sunday!

Summer Concerts: Wednesdays in August at 7:00 p.m.

Birmingham’s In the Park Concert series takes place in the beautiful Shain Park. The free concert series offers an opportunity to sit among the trees while enjoying beautiful music on warm summer evenings. Concerts span a diverse range of genres appealing to all ages. Bring your entire family along for an unforgettable summer evening tradition! All concerts start at 7 p.m. unless noted.

  • August 3 – Captain Fantastic Detroit and The Donny Rod Show (Rod Stewart & Elton John Tribute)
  • August 10 – Itchycoo (Psychedelic Rock)

Outdoor Movie Night: Friday August 12, 2022 at 7:30 p.m.

It’s show time! Head to Booth Park for an outdoor movie night, and this month will feature the film Moana! As always, the event is FREE. The pre-show entertainment begins at 6:30 p.m for the movie at 7:30 p.m., giving you just enough time to enjoy dinner or grab a carry-out before the show.

*In the event of inclement weather, Movie Nights will be held the following Saturday.

Woodward Dream Cruise: Saturday, August 20, 2022 10:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m.

The Woodward Dream Cruise is North America’s largest celebration of automotive culture, attracting nearly one million visitors and thousands of classic cars and automotive lovers. The official Woodward Avenue Dream Cruise route is a 16-mile radius, running through nine participating cities including Berkley, Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Bloomfield Township, Ferndale, Huntington Woods, Royal Oak, Pleasant Ridge, and Pontiac in the heart of Oakland County. Buy Michigan Now Festival: August 5-7 2022

For the 12th time, the Buy Michigan Now Festival will be taking to the streets of Downtown Northville for food, fun, and shopping. This is an opportunity to support small businesses from around the area and the state. Every business must be Michigan-based to participate, and many will be selling products made locally.
Event hours are:

  • Friday, Aug 5 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, Aug 6 from 10:00 a.m.- 8:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, Aug 7 from 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m

In addition to the vendors, guests can enjoy outdoor dining and beverages in the Social District. Live entertainment, book signings, demonstrations, family-friendly activities, and even a few surprises.

Northville Farmers Market: Thursdays at 8:00am -3:00pm

Come enjoy one of the largest and most popular weekday Farmers’ Markets in Michigan featuring fresh produce, plants, and flowers. You can find all of this available at this established, large market, every Thursday through the end of October at 7 Mile and Center Streets.

The Market also includes incredible Michigan-Made, Michigan-Grown items like honey, bakery goods, fine juried crafters, garden art, soaps, jewelry, furniture, woodworking, and home accessories.


Inside-Out Summer Sales: Friday, July 29 and Saturday, July 30

Head to Downtown Plymouth and be sure to check out the sidewalk sales from local vendors and boutiques on July 29th-30th. You will be sure to score some great deals while supporting your favorite local shops.

Robots in the Park: Sunday, August 14 in Kellogg Park

Robots In The Park is an event held every August at Kellog park in Plymouth, MI. This event is designed to give back to the community by providing children of all ages with fun activities that also teach S.T.E.M. (Science Technology Engineering & Mathematics) and robotics concepts!

Plymouth-Canton Fund Run: Sunday, August 21

The Fund Run 5k provides local teams and clubs an easy, hands-off approach to raising funds. Founded by local coaches and leaders themselves, they understand the stress, work, and time that come with organizing fundraisers. The FUND RUN 5k is here to eliminate that stress, take on all of the preparation, and provide a fun event for all.

This 5k welcomes everyone and anyone who wants to help and support youth sports & clubs. Athletes, club members, coaches, club leaders, family members, friends, and anyone else in the community who would enjoy participating in a 5k run/walk for a great cause are welcome!

Music in the Air Friday Night Concerts: Friday Nights at 7:00 p.m. in Kellogg Park

Concerts are traditionally held on Fridays throughout the summer, beginning in May and ending the Friday before Labor Day. All concerts begin at 7 p.m. in Kellogg Park and are FREE. You can drop your blankets and chairs off after 3:30 p.m. on concert days.

Junk in the Trunk: Saturday, August 13, 2022

Shop crafts, collectibles, and curiosities in downtown Rochester with Junk in the Trunk! So, who can sell at this event? Downtown businesses, area residents, and those that sell hand-made crafts are welcome to sign up for Junk in the Trunk.

Popular items you’ll find for resale are furniture, antiques, collectibles, dishes and glassware, accessories, and hand-made crafts. If you’re planning to sell at this event, when choosing your items think antique and vintage, not old and used.

Rochester Farmers Market: Every Saturday May – October from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Celebrating its 23rd season, the Farmers’ Market is a frequent stop for area residents to enjoy the vibrant colors, aromas, and flavors of southeast Michigan’s growing season. The market features a variety of fresh produce, herbs, flowers, and specialty foods, including gourmet coffee, salsa, fresh bread, and much more!


Antiques Market: Sunday, August 7, 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Royal Oak PRIDE: August 12- 13, 2022

Royal Oak PRIDE will invite the LGBTQ+ community members, businesses, allies, and organizations to come together to celebrate diversity and inclusion. A street festival will be hosted on Washington Street including live music, artists, PRIDE partners, and vendors.

Summer Concert Series: Thursdays at 5:30 p.m.

Downtown Street Eats: Weekly at Cadillac Square in Downtown Detroit

Michigan’s largest and most popular weekly food truck rally. Celebrating its 10th season in Downtown Detroit, this year’s Downtown Street Eats lineup features a variety of different food trucks, carts, and cuisines rotating daily at Cadillac Square and the Woodward area on weekdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and during special events.

Friday Beach Party: Fridays from 4:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Kick off your weekend at The Beach at Campus Martius Park, a hot spot for summer fun and infamous Beach Parties featuring live music from a rotating lineup of the best local and regional bands and DJs performing beachside. You won’t want to miss it!
