Case Study: Alex Lannen From Attorney to Realtor: How DOBI's Marketing Helps Alex Stand Out November 17, 2021 By Prior to real estate, Alexandra Lannen worked in law and dealt with commercial transactions as well as restructuring bank loans. With a background as an attorney dealing with corporate law, commercial loans, and title, Alex is dedicated to ensuring complete transparency with her clients while educating them so they know what is going on. She has already hit her goals for next year and shares that with the marketing and DOBI brand behind her, she is able to stand out in an overly saturated market. Check out the full interview below: DOBI: What did you do prior to real estate? Alex: Prior to real estate, I practiced law for about a decade and did a lot of commercial real estate, and also represented banks in restructuring troubled commercial loans. Now carrying those skills into real estate, I am super detail-oriented. Missing something could be a huge breach for the client. I understand what all the contracts say, and the title world, I understand the financing world, so I take all of that to educate my clients and eliminate the mystery in the process for them. DOBI: Are you on track to hit your year-end goals? Alex: I set a goal for myself at the beginning of this year that I wanted to double the business I did last year. I hit it right at the end of the third quarter this year, so I am really going to end in a good spot this year. DOBI: How do you balance being a mom with running your business? Alex: I try to plan my day around school pick-ups, drop offs, and make my family a priority. Every once in a while if I can’t find a sitter or my husband can’t jump in and I have a showing and that time works best for the client so I’ll take her with me. I’ll give her her little DOBI hat, make it a fun experience and get her involved and prepare the client in advance, typically they have kids too and it works out just fine. DOBI: What is your DOBI Difference? Alex: You can spend 5 minutes on DOBI’s Instagram page and realize how fresh and innovative our brand and marketing are. Being able to incorporate that into my own personal brand has been a game-changer. It just stands out and it’s a saturated and competitive market, so that means something.
