It’s Not Gambling if You Know You’re Going to Win

“If you must play, decide upon three things at the start: the rules of the game, the stakes, and quitting time.” – Chinese Proverb

In gambling as in real estate, this Chinese Proverb rings true. As an agent, you know the rules of the game, you know the stakes going into every deal, and you know when it’s time to forge ahead or walk away. But in either game, it’s not gambling if you know you’re going to win.

It’s a tradition at DOBI to celebrate our wins. From the day-to-day grind to our monthly brokerage recognitions to our annual Roxy Awards, we encourage and applaud the success of others.

This year, our 2nd Annual Roxy Awards did not disappoint. We transformed our brokerage into a DOBI branded casino, where we recognized our agents for their hard work throughout the year, and then dabbled in a few traditional games of poker, roulette, and craps.

While everyone walked away that evening as a winner, we recognized the real champions of this year’s Roxy Awards:

Rookie of the Year: Awarded to the agent who exceeded all expectations their first year in real estate. Congratulations, Scott Pulus!

The BOOM! Award: Awarded to the agent who had the biggest one-year boom in sales growth. Congratulations, Tammy Jonna!

Hustle & Grind: Awarded to the agent who put together the most deals in one year. Congratulations, George Thomas!

GCI Champion (Individual): Awarded to the agent with the top gross commission for the year. Congratulations, Doug Rahaim!

GCI Champion (Team): Awarded to the team with the top gross commission for the year. Congratulations, Debbie and Ryan Nelson of The Nelson Team!

Rox Star Award: Peer-nominated award that is given to the staff member who encompasses all of our core values in their business and everyday life. Congratulations, Nick Moons!

DOBI’s Choice: Peer-nominated award that is given to the agent who encompasses all of our core values in their business and everyday life. Congratulations, John Lionas.
