Shop Local: Detroit Urban Craft Fair

Featuring 100+ Michigan crafters

This holiday season is a chance to #shoplocal, and what better way to start than at the Detroit Urban Craft Fair held at the Masonic Temple, filled with over 100 Michigan crafters selling their hand made goods.

There is something for everyone here, from plants, apparel, handmade jewelry, and goods for the kitchen.

A few of our favorites included:

  • L & L Clay Company: L&L Clay Co is a mother daughter duo that specializes in polymer clay earrings. The benefits of polymer being that it’s flexible, light and non-toxic made this an easy choice for the foundation of their adorable products. With a broad range of designs from retro to modern, dangles to studs every set is handmade one at a time with love in Detroit, MI. Perfect for the jewelry lover!
  • OBJECT Apparel: They make sustainable clothing with high-quality organic fabrics and plant-based natural dyes. They also screen-print their clothing with their own illustrations. Everything is made-to-order and available for pickup from their live-work studio in Detroit.
  • Northern Fern Designs: Looking for a gift for the houseplant lover? You’ll want to check out Northern Fern, which was born in 2019, and came to life when the world shut down in 2020. They make hanging plant shelves, propagation stations, and any type of plant displays! Most of their wood is local from a lumber barn in Ann Arbor.
  • ESP: ESP provides full custom screen printing and embroidery services for t-shirts, tote bags, posters and more. They are located in Detroit’s historical Eastern Market neighborhood.
  • Porcelinen: For locally made ceramics, look no further. Porcelinen is a collection of handmade products including ceramics, jewelry, and screen printed vintage. They offer shipping and local pickup for all of their products!
